General Assembly and TechHire RI welcome local employers, startups, developers and community partners to meet the graduates from General Assembly's inaugural Web Development Immersive program in Rhode Island.

In 12-weeks GA graduates are trained as Full-stack Web Developers skilled in:

  • Git, Javascript (ES5 and ES6), jQuery, HTML 5, CSS,
  • Ruby, Sinatra, Rails, Node, Express, React, MongoDB, SQL
  • problem-solving, planning, modeling, building and consuming APIs, and constructing client-side front-end applications

Join us to check out our graduate's capstone projects, share job opportunities at your company, and connect with the Rhode Island tech community.

Recently, the topic of security vs. privacy has become increasingly significant, when for over a month, Apple and the FBI were embroiled in a legal battle over a locked iPhone needed for a matter of national security. This panel discussion will revolve around the dispute and where the lines between security vs. privacy lie.
